Study Spaces I
Group #2
How can we create better study spaces on campus that address the needs of a study space user?
Many students feel like the study spaces on campus are outdated and lack the necessary resources needed for students to be productive. In order to understand the various problems with current study spaces, the team created a survey and conducted user interviews. From their research, they created a condensed list of problems of the current study spaces and chose a specific location on campus, Student Services Building, to focus on.

-
Insight #2: Students don’t like studying at home, but do so out of convenience
-
Insight #3: Proximity to study spaces matters
Immersion II
"During the day, it feels hospital-like. At night it seems super deserted. I think they kick you out at some point. It’s not a study vibe, very clinical, but I prefer not being in the library”
- Daniel,
Chemical Engineering major
“Make it more student friendly…… feels like it’s very white and gray.”
